Individual Time Trial (ITT)

Individual Time Trial (ITT)

Road races are the traditional format of cycle racing and are contested over a predetermined distance on public roads or closed circuits. Riders start together in a mass start and the first rider across the finish line is the winner. Success requires a combination of endurance, tactical awareness, positioning and teamwork, with riders often working together in groups, known as bunches, throughout the race.

Individual Time Trial (ITT)

Often referred to as the "race of truth", the Individual Time Trial sees riders compete alone against the clock over a set distance. Competitors start at timed intervals and drafting behind other riders is not permitted. The format rewards pacing, aerodynamics, concentration and sustained power, making it one of the purest tests of individual cycling performance.

Criterium Racing (Crit)

The Team Time Trial combines the speed of a time trial with teamwork and strategy. Riders work together in a rotating formation to maximise efficiency and maintain speed across the course. Success depends on communication, coordination and the ability of the team to work as a single unit while managing the strengths of each rider.

Criterium Racing (Crit)

Criterium Racing (Crit)

Criteriums are short, fast-paced races held on compact closed-road circuits, often in city centres or urban environments. Riders complete multiple laps of a relatively short course, with races characterised by frequent corners, high speeds and constant changes in position. Criteriums are exciting for both competitors and spectators, demanding strong bike handling skills, quick decision-making and explosive power.

Circuit Racing

Circuit races take place on larger multi-lap courses that combine elements of both road racing and criterium racing. The courses may include climbs, technical sections and longer straights, creating opportunities for a variety of racing styles. Circuit racing offers an excellent introduction to competitive cycling while still providing a challenging experience for experienced riders.
